I am a Colombian free-lance Film Director, living between Mexico and Montreal.
I work for different production companies between countries: CastaDiva (Argentina), Roommates (Latam), We are Hero, La Tuna Group and Fun (Mexico), CornerStore (Canada), Proyectil (Colombia), Ramona (Ecuador), NatgeoLA , Fox TeleMexico, NippurMedia, and WildHorse Studios (Argentina – Canada).
A deep passion for filmmaking and other performing arts, has led me a successful film and storytelling career working with world leading brands through advertising, TV, digital branded content and music videos, after graduating from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana with a Communications Degree.
I gained experience as an assistant director, working for many Latin American film directors proving myself as a director. On my debut year, my work landed on the nominations and won the award Best New Directors and new talent, at EL OJO DE IBEROAMERICA, as well as being nominated in other awards such as New York Festival, Fiap, P&M, El Dorado, Effie.
In 2009, I founded my own film company in Colombia named Chiquita Films and directed the branded content web series Adulto Contemporaneo, to great public acclaim. In 2014 Rojo Films of Mexico offered me an exclusive agreement to work for the Mexican advertising market, which I accepted and moved to Mexico. Between 2012 – 2013 I directed three JBalvin´s Music Videos which landed on nominations of Nuestra Tierra, Mi GenteTV, Music Video HTV. In 2016, my first feature screenplay get selected for Bam Projects. In 2018, I worked for two big Natgeo productions, one is Opa Popa Dupa which was nominated at the Emmy Kids International in different categories. In 2019, I directed some scenes for the HBO series La Muchacha que Limpia, and in 2020 I directed reenactments for a new show for Discovery Channel.
To date, I work worldwide.
